In Sinking Spring, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Pennsylvania vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Sinking Spring is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sinking Spring follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I would stay away from this place, we were told our 2014 ford explorer needed a transmission, we paid for a used one since money was tight for a new one got the car back not even 2 weeks later the car was doing the same exact thing, we took the car back and granted they told us they wouldn’t be able to get it to it for almost 2 weeks they would call us that following week , no call. I had to call every single day to see what was happening, I was “ told” they put another used transmission in which I HIGHLY doubt, they replaced multiple things on it to see if it was that , they then called my fiance and said they believe it’s the motor with one of the turbos . We took it back to the car shop where we had to pay more money for them to look at the problem only for the car shop to tell us the codes coming up on the car is transmission & it needs a new transmission, so now we are out over $3,000 we paid for a used transmission from this place. I would stay away! They just want your money and say they fix your problem when really they don’t!

These guys rebuilt the transmission in my Ram 3500. They did a great job at a great price. Runs so much better now. Highly recommend these guys!

I've been coming to Arbogast since 1983. I've had four transmissions rebuilt by them over the years in addition to normal transmission service. Always good service and friendly.

It’s been over a year since I had my transmission rebuilt by this shop, and since then, I’ve had zero issues, the car has been running rock solid. This was a very difficult vehicle to work on, and most shops would’ve turned the job down without a second thought. I had previously gone to another place that charged the same amount but basically gave me a band-aid fix. This shop, on the other hand, kept me informed throughout the entire process. I was hesitant to spend that kind of money again on the same issue, but they answered all my questions, addressed my concerns, and most importantly—they delivered. They even backed their work with a warranty. Five stars. I’d definitely recommend them for any transmission solutions.
